The Reporter/Times Herald/Montgomery Media released its All-Area team for the 2024 field hockey season. Germantown Academy was well represented on the list, with five student-athletes being recognized.

Germantown Academy's boys basketball team went 2-0 at the Jim Fenerty Make A Wish Classic, defeating Frankford High School and Shipley School. 

Germantown Academy's girls basketball team played a pair of games at the Jim Fenerty Make A Wish Classic, defeating Nazareth Academy and falling to Universal Audenried Charter School.

The Patriots continued the 2024-25 season on the road at Tamaqua High School on Dec. 14 at the Blue Raider Duals. GA squared off against Jim Thorpe, Berks Catholic, Emmaus, Bangor, Abington Heights, and Central Dauphin, going 3-3 on the day.

Germantown Academy's field house hosted 11 teams on Dec. 12 for the first GA Shot Put Invitational of the 2024-25 season. Over 55 throwers took part in the competition.

Germantown Academy's girls swimming and diving team opened their season against Inter-Ac League foe Agnes Irwin School on Dec. 10 and looked to be primed to make another run at the championship.

It took all twelve events to decide a winner when Germantown Academy's boys swimming and diving team welcomed Inter-Ac League rival Haverford School to Lavino Pool on Dec. 10.

The Patriots opened the 2024-25 season on the road at Springfield Township High School on Dec. 7 at the Spartan Duals. GA squared off against Springfield Township, Howard Tech (DE), Conwell-Egan, Norwin, and Pequea Valley, going 3-2 on the day.

Germantown Academy started the 2024-25 indoor season on Wednesday at the Hill School Quad Meet held at Mercer Field House at Hill School. The Patriots were successful on both sides, defeating Hill, Pottsgrove, and Perkiomen School.

The Germantown Academy girls basketball team has just two returning starters from a team that split the Inter-Ac title a season ago with Penn Charter and Notre Dame.

This season’s version with two seniors will have a difficult time repeating the feat. That is, if you listen to the outside noise.

Alex Badami '22 finished 257th in 26:19.00 at the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Justin Addo-Boateng '27 scored a game-high 17 points and was one of four Germantown Academy players in double figures as the Patriots rolled to a 86-21 win in the season opener for both teams.

The fall sports season at Germantown Academy may have come to a close, but the achievements of its student-athletes continue to shine. The Inter-Ac League celebrated their exceptional performances by announcing the All-League Teams, recognizing those who stood out throughout the season.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, USA Swimming announced the full list of 2023-2024 Scholastic All-America recipients. The lists consist of 1,790 athletes in grades 9-12 who maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average (GPA) and have swam an individual pool time equal to or faster than the 2023 Winter Junior National qualifying time in any individual event during the qualifying period of September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024. 

The first points of the 2024 GA/PC rivalry was won three days before the actual day's events as the GA golf team tied Penn Charter, 4-4, and each team entered the day with a half-point. On the 138^th GA/PC Day, the Patriots were unable to win back the coveted Competition Cup, falling to PC, 8-2. 

Germantown Academy officially inducted five athletes and two teams into the GA Athletic Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

USA Lacrosse has named the 44 players that will compete with the U.S. Women’s Senior National Team during the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Presidents Cup from Nov. 22-24 in Florida.

The Patriots golf team tied Penn Charter, 4-4, in the first contest for the 2024 GA/PC Competition Cup and their last of the season.

The junior entered the game needing just 60 yards to break McCloskey’s mark of 3,891 yards and did so on the team’s second drive. Stearn finished the day 19 of 27 passing for 221 yards and two touchdowns.
